Sciency Saturdays

Good morning dear creative makers!!! We hope that you all are safe. Today we have planned a very informative activity for you because today is sciency Saturdays.
We are going to have a lot of fun in the fascinating world of science through experiments and high-tech coding (basics)

Experiments:-
How to make a sundial watch
Apparatus- A stiff card
Protractor
An Atlas
Tape
Compass
Procedure- Cut the stiff card into two rectangles measuring 20 cm 40cm.
From the Atlas, find the latitude of where you live.
Measure an angle that is equal to the line of the latitude. Mark this angle on the card and cut along the dotted line. Draw a semi-circle on the other card. Fix the triangular card on that card with tape. Your sundial is ready. Keep the sundial in the open on a sunny day. Use the compass and keep the lower end of the triangle towards the north. Start marking the time after each hour.

What do you observe?? Comment on what you observe and what conclusion have you derived from this experiment.

  1. I observe that the sundial actually worked! It was showing the time based on the position of the sun...
